Friarsgate
Whilst not inside the LARA area the on-going proposals for the development of the centre of Lichfield are of interest to all residents.

In November 2015, Development Securities (Lichfield) Ltd submitted a planning application (15/01365/FULM) for the demolition and re-development of the area comprising the multi-storey car park, the car showroom, the police station and some houses and retail kiosks.
The new development will be Friarsgate and will include a cinema, shops and restaurants, as well as a relocated bus station and a replacement multi-storey car park.
